Who is Jesus?

Youth

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth...   Ecclesiastes 12:1

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."             Matthew 19:14

What is our faith if we don't feel compelled to teach our children?  In all areas of our church we seek to include our children and youth.  Worship, Sunday School, Youth Group, Special Outings, Camp, and VBS are just a few ways we encourage their spiritual growth! The older youth aren't forgotten; our college and early career adults are vital to our church family.

What we do:

Children: Sunday School and Vacation Bible School are available for our elementary-aged children.  A bi-weekly Children's Worship is in the works for children in kindergarten through third grade, during Sunday morning Worship. On weeks that Children's worship is not scheduled, children will be encouraged to participate in regular worship.  "Worship Kits" with markers and interactive lessons are available for them.

Youth: We currently have youth meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month during the school year, for grades 7-12.  Josh and Kristy Horner lead our Youth Nights; the teens are encouraged to bring their friends for games, snacks, music, and an interactive devotional. During the summer, monthly activities are planned, including mini-golf, canoeing and camping, Presbytery Camp, and a trip to a local amusement park.

Young Adults or College/Career: Our young adults are ready for life and more than ever need to be ministered to and given opportunities to minister to others.  We have occasional outings for college and early career singles.

Our Hope:

We hope to grow in our ability to reach the many needs of the youth in our church and community.  We hope to be known as a "kid-friendly" church where whole families can come and learn, worship, and fellowship in a Christ-centered place.  As we grow we will continue to place our youth ministry at the front of our priorities.
