He is eternal, the beginning and the end.
He is the creator and sustainer of all there is. Nothing can be without Him.
He is the Redeemer:
- He bought by the price of His blood all those who believe.
- His blood is the only cleansing for sin.
He is the Savior -- the only Savior and hope of lost creation.
He is our friend. Believers are not just servants, but friends, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.
He is the King:
- He is glorious and victorious over all.
- There is no power or authority greater than He, past, present, or future.
He is clearly God, the second person of the Trinity.
He is fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary.
He is the first born of the dead.
He is the second Adam.
He is without sin.
He is Almighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
He did many miracles, showing compassion for the sick and proving His authority over men and nature.
He will not lose one person that His Father has given Him.
He died, was buried, and rose from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and is coming the second time.
He is Prophet, Priest and King.
He is the Son of David.
He will be worshipped for all Eternity.

Many metaphors help us know Him better:

The Rock and High Tower -- He is the place of stability, strength, safety and refuge.

The Anchor -- He holds us strongly in His grip.

The Bread of Life -- He feeds us with living bread.

The Light of the World -- Without Him we live in darkness.

The Vine -- He sustains us and helps us to bear fruit.

The Good Shepherd -- He guides us and provides for us.
