Who is Jesus?

History

The history of Cornerstone Church dates back to the year 1959, when a group of Youngstown area residents felt the need to establish a conservative congregation with  Presbyterian form of government.  Originally known as South Chapel, the group was later identified as Robinwood Church and became affiliated with the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod (R.P.C.E.S.).  The denomination later became part of the Presbyterian Church in America (P.C.A.).

In 1972, some members of the congregation felt led to establish a new work in Poland, OH, which came to be known as Immanuel Presbyterian Church.  Some ten years later it was deemed best to unite the Robinwood and Immanuel congregations and move forward under the name Cornerstone Church.

Throughout its history the congregation has been served by the following men:  Werner Meitling, John Kay, Daniel Krucich, Donald Hicks, Timothy Stigers, William Wolfgang, and David Foster.

We are currently seeking a full-time senior minister. (3/1/08)

We are a member of the Presbyterian Church in America, the PCA, a denomination that came into being in 1973 because of a felt need for a more strongly scriptural, evangelical, and reformed witness for Christ.
